Let's face it ... the unexpected will happen - OFTEN. We might not have much control over what happens, but we DO get to choose how we will react to it.
So why not take a break from the usual reaction and commit to dealing with these unexpected moments in another, more nourishing way?
Consider this: instead of getting into all those negative feelings, get curious! Curiosity is not only for kids. In discussing this with a dear friend, she observed that "You can't be stressed and curious at the same time!" What a powerful re-frame.
I can promise you that curiosity is an amazing way to live your life. Try this when you wake up tomorrow: ask yourself, first thing, “I wonder what today will bring?” Then look out the window and see as far as you can see. There is a whole world out there that can bring you joy if you are willing to be inquisitive and try something a little different.
Get curious. It just might open a whole new -- unexpected -- perspective.
